Li Ming is my classmate, he is always the best student in my class. Theteachers speak highly of him all the time. I wondered how he can do so well, soI talked to him. He told me that he kept reading books every hour a day, if hewas busy, he would do it before sleeping. I thought about most of us, we could’twait to play computer games after we finished the homework. I could findsomething was different between Li Ming and other students, now I understandwhy, reading the books broadens his vision and enriches his mind, helping him tobe a better man. So I make up my mind to keep reading.

Last night, I had an interesting dream.In the dream I accidentally got amagic pen with which I could write beautiful Chinese characters.Then I took partin a calligraphy competition.With the help of the pen I got the first place. Ibecame famous soon and a lot of people came to beg me for some characters.I feltvery proud of myself.But when I picked the pen up and wrote down a character, Ifound it very ugly.The pen no longer had magic. I was frightened into coldsweat.Seeing this, people understood what was happening.They all laughed at meand said that I was a cheat.I tried to find some place to hide but couldn't findany.
昨天晚上，我做了一个有趣的梦。在梦中，我意外地得到了一支魔笔，用它我可以写出漂亮的汉字。然后我参加了一个书法大赛。在魔笔的帮助下我获得了第一名，很快我出名了，许多人都向我求字。我感到非常自豪。但是当我拿起魔笔，写下一个字时，我发现那个字非常丑。魔笔不再有魔力了，我被吓出了一身冷汗。看到这些，人们明白发生了什么事情。他们都嘲笑我，说我是个骗子。我竭力想找一个地方躲起来，却无容身之地。

Last Saturday--April 28th, my classmates and I went to the park near myschool. Can you guess what we did there?Not for amusement but to take part in avolunteer labour.

We reached the park at nine o'clock. The whole class was divided into threegroups. I was in Group Three.

Each group had different tasks. Group One planted trees and wateredflowers. Group Two was told to pick up litter left by the tourists and cleanedall the benches. The group that I was in wiped all the equipment in theChildren's Playground. All of us worked hard.

Today is Friday. It is my thirteenth birthday. I got up very early in themorning and put on my new clothes happily. My parents bought me the new clothesas my birthday presents. I went to school earlier than before.I invited many ofmy classmates to come to my birthday party in the evening.

Evening came at last. Many of my classmate came to my home. they bought melots of beautiful presents. they all said,"Happy birthday to you!" We sangbirthday songs happily.then my parents brought out a big birthday cake, saying,"We love you for ever. Happy birthday!"
傍晚过后。我的许多同学来到我家，他们给我买了很多漂亮的礼物，他们说：“祝你生日快乐!”我们唱生日歌，我的父母拿出了一个大生日蛋糕，他们说：“我们永远爱你。祝你生日快乐!”
At the end of the party, we ate the birthday cake and some other deliciousfood. How happy I was!

Today we visited Red Star Farm.
Early in the morning, we met at the school gate and went there together.About two hours later, we arrived. On arriving there, we were given a warmwelcome by the farm workers. Then one of the workers showed us around the farm.We were very glad to see the crops and vegetables growing so well. At noon, wehad a picnic happily.
After the picnic, we enjoyed ourselves in the sunshine. We listened tomusic, dancing and singing. Some were talking happily and even two of ourclassmates played chess. How time flies! It was time for us to leave though wedidn't want to. It was really an unforgettable visit for us.
今天我们参观了红星农场。
一大早，我们就在校门口，走到一起了。大约两个小时后，我们到达。一到那里，我们是由农场工人的热烈欢迎。然后其中一名工人向我们展示了农场周围。我们很高兴地看到庄稼和蔬菜长势那么好。中午的时候，我们有一个愉快的野餐。

This morning, my father took me to school by bike. I sat at the back of thebike, eating a banana. After I ate it up, I threw the skin onto the streetrandomly.

No sooner had I done this than I realized that I had done something bad toour environment. And maybe someone would step on it and tumble over. I must pickit up. Thinking of these, I asked father to stop. I jumped off the bike and ranback to pick up the banana skin and threw it into a roadside dustbin. Seeingthis, father praised me and I felt very happy.
我马上意识到我的所作所为破坏了我们的`环境，或许有人会踩在上面而跌倒，我必须把它拾起来。想到这些，我让爸爸停车。我跳下自行车，跑回去拾起香蕉皮，并扔到了路边的垃圾箱里。看到这些，爸爸表扬了我。我感到很高兴。
In future I will protect the surroundings more consciously and think moreabout others.

Lingling asked her friends to come to her home. She wanted to makesomething nice for them to eat. She just learned how to make a scrambled egg.She tried to make it for them. She broke eggs in a bowl and put some salt in it.Then she placed a frying pan on the stove, and put a little cooking oil in thepan. While she was waiting for the oil to become hot, she stirred the egg in thebowl. As soon as the oil became hot, she poured the egg into the pan, As oneside turned yellow, she turned it over. When both sides were cooked.thescrambled egg was ready to eat.
玲玲邀请她的朋友来她家做客，她想为朋友们做点好吃的。地刚刚学会煎鸡蛋，决定试着为朋友们做一做。她先把鸡蛋打在碗里，放一点盐：然后把煎锅放在炉子上，往锅里倒些油。在等待油加热时，她把碗里的鸡蛋打散。当油一热，她立刻把打散的鸡蛋倒入锅内。一面煎黄时，立刻翻过来煎另一面，两面都煎好后就可以吃了。
Lingling's friends came and had the serambled egg. They liked it very much.Lingling was so happy that she could cook for her friends.
玲玲的朋友品尝了她做的鸡蛋，她们都很喜欢。能为朋友们做吃的，玲玲感到非常高兴。
