一、作文题目
家乡从来就是一个令人魂牵梦绕的地方。你的家乡在哪里？风景又如何呢？请以“My hometown”为题，介绍一下你家乡的地理位置和风土人情等。词数：≥80。
二、技巧点拨
（一）审题立意
根据题目说明，本篇作文在体裁上是一篇记叙文，要求介绍自己的家乡。
（二）谋篇布局
根据题目内容和体裁，本篇短文可分三段进行写作。
1、第一段
介绍家乡的地理位置。
2、第二段
介绍家乡四季的景致变化。
3、第三段
表达对家乡的思念之情。
（三）遣词造句
1、第一段
本段主要用来介绍家乡的地理位置。如下面的范文所示：
My hometown is located in the southeast of China. It is a small but beautiful village with mountains around it. And there is a small and clean river running through the village.【注意】
本段可先介绍家乡的大致位置，然后描述家乡的景致概貌。
注意，be located in表示“位于...”；注意在描述家乡概貌时，在句子结构上可采用with或分词结构来引导伴随状语或补充信息，如本段中的第二句话采用了with结构，第三句话则采用了现在分词短语结构，来进行信息的补充说明。
2、第二段
本段主要用来介绍家乡四季的变化。如下面的范文所示：
In spring, flowers come out and the whole village looks like a wonderful picture. In the early afternoon of summer, children often swim in the river where they enjoy water fightsvery much. When autumn comes, villagers will harvest the fruits on the treesand the crops in the fields. On the sunny winter days, the senior villagerswill bathe in the warm sunlight, chatting about their plans of the coming year.
【注意】
限于全文的篇幅，本段对于四个季节的描述，分别只采用了一句话，但是为了做到句式上的变化，每一句话在结构上都有所不同：对于春季的描述，采用了and引导的并列句结构；对于夏季的描述，采用了含有where引导的定语从句的复合句结构；对于秋季的描述，采用了含有when引导的时间状语从句的复合句结构；对于冬季的描述，采用了含有现在分词短语作伴随状语的简单句结构。
注意，water fights表示“打水仗”；harvest这里用作了动词，表示“收割；收获”；senior villagers表示“村里的老人们”；bathe in the sunlight表示“晒太阳”。
3、第三段
本段主要用来表达对家乡的思念之情。如下面的范文所示：
Now I am studying in a different city, which is far away from my hometown, so I am always dreaming of my hometown, my dear old home!【注意】
本段侧重用来描述自己因为远离家乡所以思乡之情倍增，在句子结构上建议采用表因果关系的并列句或复合句。
注意，am always dreaming of采用了现在进行时，更能有感情地表达出自己对家乡的魂牵梦萦，而my dear old home（我亲爱的故乡）作为my hometown的同位语，则进一步烘托了这种浓浓的思乡之情。
三、高分范文
My hometown
My hometown is located in the southeast of China. It is a small but beautiful village with mountains around it. And there is a small and clean river running through the village.
In spring, flowers come out and the whole village looks like a wonderful picture. In the early afternoon of summer, children often swim in the river where they enjoy water fights very much. When autumn comes, villagers will harvest the fruits on the trees and the crops in the fields. On the sunny winter days, the senior villagers will bathe in the warm sunlight, chatting about their plans of the coming year.
Now I am studying in a different city, far away from my hometown, so I am always dreaming of my hometown, my dear old home!
四、举一反三
在谋篇布局上，本文也可以这样安排：
1、第一段
介绍家乡的地理位置。如下文所示：
My hometown is a small but pretty village, located in a valley among the mountains of South China.
2、第二段
介绍家乡的风土人情。如下文所示：
A bubbling stream cuts through our village all the year around, bringing us clear water and fatty fish. Along both banks of the stream, there are patches of green vegetation, the major part of which are bamboos and fruit trees. Every late autumn, to celebrate the harvest of the year, we will hold a bonfire party, at which a generous feast will be prepared for each and every participant of the party.
3、第三段
欢迎大家到家乡做客。如下文所示：
Our village not only enjoys natural beauty and delicious food; it also nourishes hospitable villagers. So welcome to our village and be our guests of honour.
