Recently the school website has set up a new column called “English Writing” which provides students with the chances to post their composition and communicate with each other. Not only can students improve their writing ability in this way, but they can strengthen their self-confidence.
The column has lots of advantages. It is the teacher’s guide online that has an advantage over the other columns. If necessary, the students can have a direct “ask and answer” with professional teachers. It is required that the composition should be related to the students’ life. What’s more, if it is organized well enough, the writer will be rewarded for it.

I’m proud to tell you that you have made rapid progress in such a short time! You letter is better written than the last one. Obviously, you have mastered how to use some Chinese characters freely. But it doesn’t mean there’s no problem at all. For instance, unlike English, we usually use “因为……所以……” in one sentence. So you should correct the fourth sentence in your letter. And I advise you to do more reading and try to use these sentence patterns in your writing as possible as you can.

In reality, many people lack willpower and patience while doing something difficult. Just like the man in the picture, he didn’t dig any of them further. If he had done so, he would have got water. In my opinion, when we do something, we should have the willpower to finish it. We must firmly carry it through to the end if we want to get a fruitful result. A man who gives up halfway will achieve nothing.
