I can’t agree more to the author’s view. For one thing, smart phones distract us from our study. For another, they cost us valuable time and do harm to our health.
Take my deskmate for example. Ever since he got a smart phone, he has been absorbed in it, even staying up late to chat or play games. As a result, he always looks sleepy and loses concentration in class, which certainly leads to poor test results.
